A Glance Progress and Achievements during 2019-20
Nomenclature of Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF) has been changed to Subhash Palekar Natural Farming (SPNF) and the government has granted approval and notified abbreviating The ‘Prakritik Kheti Khushhal Kisan Yojna as PKKKY/ PK3Y.
The Government of Himachal Pradesh has approved and notified reconstitution of the State Level Task Force on ‘Promotion of Organic Farming/Zero Budget Natural Farming’ as ‘State Level Task Force for Promotion of Natural Farming in Himachal Pradesh’.
As against a target of training 50,000 farmers in the financial year 2019 – 20, a total of
53,951 farmers have adopted SPNF Model (partially)
as an alternate mode of farming in all the 12 districts of the state.
Total numbers of
2921Panchayats
covered under SPNF.
Till 31
st
March 2020,
56, 620 farmers
have started practicing SPNF over
2794 ha
land.
A total of
312 Sansadhan Bhandars
were opened in different blocks, beside this 13,490 on Farm Input generation (Plastic drums/tanks) provided to farmers under farmers assistance component.
Assistance was also provided for lining of
1053 nos. of cowsheds
of the SPNF practicing farmers having indigenous cows.
272 nos. of indigenous cows
were purchased by the SPNF farmers who were provided assistance of 50% with a maximum ceiling of Rs. 25000/cow.
Package of Practices have been developed for different crops in both video and literature format. Currently, a total of
93 videos
based on farmers’ experience and our scientific studies, have been developed and uploaded both on YouTube (
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZZELLCfuH1GONqJsH6CaXQ
); and on facebook (
https://spnfhp.nic.in/en-IN/spnf.html
). In addition, a set
of 6
pictorial manuals
related to SPNF in Hindi (60,000 copies) depicting different SPNF practices have been got printed and distributed among farmers.
